Quake ReSaster receives its second update, with Horde mode and new levels

Quake returned this same year with a face wash for the classic that belongs to Bethesda. The Remaster announcement left us with new content for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, but it was still more to arrive, and second update is now available on all platforms.

Horde mode can be played alone or in cooperative Through a post on its official website, Machinates Highlights the new Horde mode that will include the game, with the possibility of being played in Solitaire, along with bots or in cooperative with up to four friends, in four different maps. It also includes a meeting with a boss every time we complete three waves.

As an extra, it is added Honey, a couple of new levels created by Christian Graders (Senior Studio Level Designer), which we can free download from the game itself. In addition, a whole series of corrections and adjustments are included for all platforms, which implement new features and various improvements.

This remaster has a higher resolution, panoramic screen, enlarged field depth, improved modeling, dynamic and reverse lighting, antialiasing and more improvements. In addition, it has been updated free for PS5 and Xbox Series, reaching in the new generation consoles 4K and 120 frames per second.

It is worth remembering the existence of Quake Champions, a free to play that combines the ambience and mythology of the original Quake with the multiplayer chaos of Quake III Arena. The game introduces the role of the champions, each with its style and skills, and we recommend it as one of the 12 best free Shooters on PC in a list that we elaborated this year.
