COD VANGUARD: The new Patrol mode leaves campers no chance and I love it
The first beta weekend of Call of Duty: Vanguard is over and it looks in my fingers. Well, Jucking in the fingers it's probably something to looked out, I'd rather tell the truth directly: I'm addicted. Addicted to a new game mode I could play in the beta of the latest COD offshoot. This mode is called patrol or patrol, almost ridiculously follows simple rules of rules and is so good.
So, how does this auspicious patrol mode play?
Patrol is Quasi Hardpoint on Speed (to elegantly maintain the drug metaphor from the introduction). But have fun aside: In Patrol we have to take a hardpoint with our team as well as known, of the same name. The more time we spend in the radius of the spots, the more points we collect. So far, so well known.
The special twist : In the well-known hardpoint mode, it is known to be a point zone, which suddenly disappears in the course of the match and appears again in another place of the map. In Patrol mode, on the other hand, she moves on a given path through the entire map and steadily pulls our team as well as our enemies behind.
Gameplay from the beta you can see here in the trailer:
Why camper appear inside in patrol old
So we are always in motion, pike the hardpoint after hunting dogs a rabbit. Thus, Patrol plays more aggressive and faster than most other well-known game modes in Cod: Vanguard, and I love it. On the one hand, because I have a huge fun of racing as staggered over the map and shooting enemy team members over the pile (or let me shoot over the pile). On the other hand, because camping is completely meaningless here.
All who like to remain in bushes and dark corners to minimize unsuspecting passing pastors, of course, that can still live in Patrol mode. But where campers have to accept, then to collect much fewer points. The hardpoint moves, continues. Here is no time for fig waiting.
Linda Sprenger @Lindalomaniac
Linda has spent a lot of time on the battlefield of Warzone and Black Ops Cold last year and discovered her fun to Call of Duty. Although you do not succeed the 2WK setting of Vanguard too much, she is looking forward to the next part of the COD series. The campaign will probably (as always) omit, but spend a lot of time in multiplayer.
Patrol rewards in particular all those who are constantly moving . Who can trust themselves from their comfort zone and can react flexibly to new game situations, or (like me) at least try. Because it is difficult to predict what happens next in the match, because coverage possibilities change constantly (at least when we play after the rules of the game and really walk the circle). And it's damn hard to stay alive because enemies do not spread on the map, but bundle in the heart of the hardpoint.
Probably I was not shot in any other game mode of the beta so often as often as in Patrol. Two seconds in the circle. Dead. ResPawn. And the hunt for the hardpoint starts from the front.
But that's exactly what I love about Patrol. The new mode drives the anyway rapid call of duty game principle again on the top. Chaos is here on the agenda. And from chaos, I currently do not get enough. Otherwise, would be somehow boring.
When does the Open Beta start to Vanguard?
Patrol and other game modes are playable again at the weekend, first on the PlayStation and later on the Xbox. All information about the start and download of the Open Beta to Vanguard read in this game article.
Do you already try the beta? What made you a lot of fun?
