The first passage against Nordmasedonia was very reminiscent of the game against Romania: a deep opponent, who was just waiting for the mistakes of the DFB-ELF to switch quickly. One has to play so a team first tired, Lon Goretzka appreciated the determined performance of the hosts in the place of the game. While the German team in the first 45 minutes had eight goals shots and did not recover any of them, two of the first conclusion was directly in it. Through my goal we came well into the second half and had the game actually completely under control, touched scorer Kai Hanctz.

The fact that the game then tipped more and more to the German side had to do with the better opportunity utilization, but on the other hand with the declining forces on the pages of the North Mazedonians. After the first goal, it was very consistent, said national coach Hansi Flick in the end glad that the game was decided relatively early. For this path, there is hardly a better than Hansi, Goretzka knows about the importance of the new national trainer, who gets the national team getting his game idea and better. Since we can not train so much, we have to talk a lot with the players, explains Flick s approach with his coaching team. The start for the new national coach was made to measure at least.
