IXION: Survival fight in space with construction, exploration and decisions

The Bulwark Studios (Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus) and Kasedo Games (Indie-Publisher von Kalypso Media) have shown a short game scene trailer from IXION at Gamescom 2021. The game is a strategic survival fight in space described by the developers as Space Opera, which was strongly influenced by frostpunk (printing), Anno (game systems) and Banished (Look - & - Feel). It combines construction elements of a City builder on the flying room station Tiqqun, survival elements and exploring the unknown extension, finally valuable minerals must be collected on the flight.

The goal of the space mission is to find a new planet for humanity, because the earth is no longer habitable after a disaster on the moon. The scenario plays in the near future - similar to AD Astra, Interstellar or The Expanse. Buildings in the station are found on current principles, but be equipped with some improvements.

In IXION, they take care of the expansion and management of the station infrastructure and explores the stellar map of the well-known solar system and beyond to reduce resources. It will also be able to trade with other factions that have also left the earth and somehow try to survive. The players need to explore new technologies, unlock new areas in the station and, above all, the energy supply as well as valuable freight, humanity, alive. The storage of resources and transport on the station are simulated in real time. Shoe breaks, overloaded power supplies and electric fires could complicate the journey and may require dangerous outdoor use. During the game course, events are also triggered, the decisions and consequences will lead to themselves.
