Psychonauts made its debut in 2005 on Xbox, PC and PlayStation 2 and occupied a place in the heart of many. Double Fine hopes to revive nostalgia while Psychonauts 2 was announced for this year after some unfortunate delays. Double Fine was acquired by Microsoft in 2019 and the partnership was clearly realized since double finely announced via Twitter as Psychonauts 2 became gold record before its expected exit.

Psychonauts 2 will be released on August 25, 2021. Psychonauts 2 will be released on PC via the Windows Store and Steam while PlayStation users can get it on PlayStation 4, and later on PlayStation 5 with backward compatibility! On Xbox consoles, the game can be appreciated as Special Day One via the Microsoft Game Pass, the company's popular subscription service.

When a game of the industry reaches "gold", it means that the development of the game is over and that it is ready to be sold. It also means that the output can no longer be delayed. In simple terms, Psychonauts 2 is ready for its scheduled launch.

Psychonauts 2 will combine unique missions, plots and blurred humor of double fine to give life to a modern adventure platform game. The game will have many customizable capacities and a nostalgic cinematographic style. In Psychonauts 2, Raz is on his first day of work and it's about to become quite wild. According to the images published so far, RAZ Visit Fool Worlds and has been caught in a sinister and diabolical plot while Maligula will be resurrected, and Raz must stop it.
